Outside my Window.

Outside my Window.

I was sitting here in my family room this morning contemplating what to post today. Then I looked out my window and saw this peaceful view. That is when I thought of it. It is a beautiful crisp morning out there today, and a welcome sight after all the gloomy weather that we have been having. I think I will go out and enjoy some of the serenity that mother nature has given us today.

Little Domino on the Farm...

Once again I would like you to let me know what you think needs to be done with this picture if anything. I am trying to get better at taking them and need to know what to do…

I think it is a pretty good picture…

One year ago today…

It was one year ago today that our nice old barn was blown down in a tornado.  I will never forget this day.

We were so blessed on this day because our house was fine just across the driveway, our family was unharmed, and our true friends were revealed.  For all of this I am so grateful.  The picture at the top of my website is a picture of our old barn and this is a picture of what it looked like after about 10 seconds of destruction.  I took a sawsall and sawed out the 1886 portion of the barn and made a table out of it.  I took out one of the 3 panel windows and made a picture frame out of it.  The three pictures that are in it are a picture of the barn before, then this picture, and the last picture is a picture taken later that evening with a big double rainbow shining over the barn.   This is probably one of my favorite pictures because it reminds us that GOD is in charge of everything, and that everything happens for a reason.  For me, this experience was very enlightening on very many levels, all of which have made me a stronger, better person.  And all because an old barn blew down.  God does work in mysterious ways. Glorious and Mysterious ways.  May he always be with you and your families, and may you allow him to do his job in your life.  Be open and be willing, God will do the rest.
